This is 100% wool yarn Dundaga made in Latvia, in a small local company. It is rare unique product. The production process has it's old family traditions (over 50 years). Yarn is very pure, dyed carefully and it is even washed in a pond water, which allows to keep the maximum of lanolin.

Yarn is beautifully dyed and it is the main reason why it is so unique. After trying once, you'll look forward to try other colors. It has long color sections. Transitions from one color to another are very soft and subtle. Colors are always stunning!
Yarn is dyed in small amounts and that guarantees you'll have original knitted garment.

The yarn is presented in hanks. The weight of one hank is not exactly the same every time.
    This hank weights about 190g (100g = 280m).
Please note, that hank weight can be +- 5% from the weight which is stated in the description line above due to humidity.

Important! Dundaga wool is much more rough than merino wool. It is more like homemade rustic wool. That's why it is very warm, good looking and durable. After each washing the garment becomes softer and softer.

The yarn is medium thick, it is very suitable for sweaters, pullovers, cardigans, vests, socks and accessoiries. We recommend to use 3.5-5mm knitting pins and/or crochet hook.
Yarn is suitable for knitting, crocheting, felting and weaving.
    Hand wash is preferred.

No chemicals are used in the production, so it is recommended to wash the yarn before knitting to make it softer.

Here you can see garments knitted using latvian wool by our clients.
